Risks of genetic engineering

They were joined by several consumer groups, religious organizations and scientists involved. Defense claims that all GM foods on the market in the U.S. illegally and should be transferred to the stringent safety tests. They claim the FDA's own data show that said genetically modified for security in the broad disagreement from its own experts.

Agency scientists have repeatedly warned that GE products are different risks than their counterparts in conventional production. Council has consistently ignored bureaucrats who created the current agency policy. The court says the agency violated Food, Drug and Cosmetic Safety Act, which allows genetically modified foods for sale without testing provided they are generally considered safe by qualified scientists FDA.

Brazil federal court ruled in favor of maintaining the prohibition of production and import of GMOs in the country. The court agreed with environmental groups and consumer protection said that they have enough information about genetically modified crops to ensure safety.

Coalition activist groups launched a new campaign to pressure food companies, it is important to eliminate the use of GMOs in their products. Campbell Soup is the first major company goal. But as "Greenpeace" action which goes against Kellogg, are also included in this initial effort.
